Perhaps no group of actors is more closely associated with luxurious—if slightly unhinged—hotel stays than the cast of The White Lotus. Although it’s been a minute since the season two finale aired (nearly one year ago—can you believe?), we still reference both seasons of the iconic TV show anytime we possibly can—ideally in the context of a fabulous vacation.

So who better than The White Lotus’s own Alexandra Daddario to team up with Hilton and American Express to celebrate their latest news? The brands are colaunching enhanced Hilton Honors American Express Surpass and Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Cards, which now offer increased benefits for card members. “You get more points now every time you go grocery shopping or go shopping online, so you get more free stays and can cash those points in for free stuff,” explains Daddario. “I think it makes traveling easier and more fun when you know you’re getting something back.”

As for her own travel plans, the native New Yorker loves to visit her hometown, but she has her sights set internationally. “Thailand’s high on my list. And Paris, I try to go a couple of times a year. It’s just the best,” she says.

While some people swear by traveling with a scented candle to make a hotel room feel like home, Daddario does the opposite, shopping for them as souvenirs everywhere she goes. “I’m an obsessive candle buyer. I know some people have one candle that reminds them of home, but I have so many [my house] just smells like a mix of 20 different candles,” she admits.

Instead, her travel ritual is to sit down and order her favorite beverage as soon as she arrives. “I love hotel cappuccinos,” Daddario says, adding that once she’s settled in with her cap, “I’m sometimes more comfortable in a Hilton than I am at home.”

We can relate. Ahead, Alexandra Daddario shares more of her favorite wellness essentials for staying comfy while traveling in our series about wellness must-haves, Great 8.

Skin care

I’ve taken to having the right products with me. I have a special [facial] oil called Vintner’s Daughter, and I love my Dior Face Wash, and I love to make sure I have those essentials.

Active Botanical Serum

Dior La Mousse Off/On Foaming Face Cleanser

A sweatshirt

I know it sounds obvious, but planes get really cold! So having a really good, cozy sweatshirt is so important.

Grooming essentials

I try not to forget tweezers and a razor, all that stuff that otherwise you’ll be running around in a foreign country trying to find. And nail clippers—it’s the most random thing that you don’t think [💭to pack. Maybe other people think of it, but I always forget it.

Headphones

I am very basic. I wear my Apple wired headphones, and I download podcasts and I listen to them on the plane and in the airport. Especially during the holidays, when you can just sort of zone out and focus on getting to your gate. I’ve been listening to a YouTube channel a lot that covers court cases. Like, traffic court. Which sounds really boring, but it’s super fascinating. The ones I’m listening to have, like, 100,000 views, so I know someone else is listening too, but every time I tell someone about it they think it’s really boring but it’s actually very entertaining.

Apple EarPods

Pajamas

I really am a creature of comfort. I have high-end PJs, like Dior, and I have Gap PJs. I think it really depends on what mood you’re in. I think traveling can be so hard on you, so you want to do whatever you can to make it easier and chicer and more fun.
